Catholic MPs present holy family icon to Cardinal

The icon of the Holy Family is a symbol that requires the Catholic families from across the globe to interact, pray and reflect on the core values of marriage and family as the cornerstone of society and the church.

The Leader of Opposition, Betty Aol Ocan, has appealed to Emmanuel Cardinal  Wamala to pray for Parliament and the Office of the Leader of Opposition as it executes its work serving the people of Uganda.

This was during the Parliament Catholic Chaplaincy visit to the Cardinal at his residency in Nsambya, Kampala on Friday to present the icon of the Holy Family to him for his blessing before it can be sent to Zambia the next destination, according to a statement issued from Parliament.

While receiving the Icon, the Cardinal extended his gratitude to the services that Members of Parliament have rendered to the communities and their respective constituencies.

He thanked the Parliament Catholic Chaplaincy for representing the Catholic Church and its core values of fighting for the innocent lives as children of God
