While the top teams in the UVF volleyball league fight to make the play offs, there is a similar storm brewing in the relegation zone.

Sky and Airforce occupy the bottom two places on eight and 10 points respectively. VVC are also not yet home and dry, but they are three points ahead of Airforce on 13 points.

"We are not doing very badly, two teams can get relegated, but we still believe we can do something. In volleyball everything is possible and we are going to give it our best," Sky setter Charles Aisu said.

Sky has to get on with business and ensure that they survive by besting teams like UCU, Prisons, Nkumba and Nemostars all in a weekend of action.

In the women's league, VVC sealed their fate after they lost 3-0 to UCU Lady Doves. The finalists won't be in the playoffs so all they are doing is salvaging some pride.

Table leaders Nkumba-A have only two matches left to complete a near perfect regular season. They have collected 67 have played 24 matches and only lost one and they have two matches to go.

Sport-S are second on the table with 61 points, UCU has 58 while Ndejje has 56 points. KCCA can sneak their way into the playoffs if Ndejje botch the job and lose against MUST and VVC.
