Express strengthen management structures

Express FC Chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka believes the appointment of the two will not only strengthen the team’s structures, but add to the already great pedigree of the council.

Former Uganda Cricket Association Chairman Kato Sebbaale and Uganda Squash Racquets Association Vice Chairperson, Abdeel Kyezira have joined the Advisory Council (AC) of Express FC.

Express FC Chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka believes the appointment of the two will not only strengthen the team's structures, but add to the already great pedigree of the council, and further enhancing overall Club management.

"Dr. Sebbaale and Mr. Kyezira bring a wealth of sporting knowledge and management to the Advisory Council. Dr. Sebbaale is a long standing member of the cricketing fraternity, both as a player and administrator, while Mr. Kyezira has contributed immensely to Uganda squash. Not to mention they are both avid Express FC and Uganda football fans." Kiwanuka stated.

"I welcome the new members and look forward to their continued contribution to Express FC over the coming years."

The two join Samuel Sejjaaka, Francis Buwule, Alex Munobe, Moses Banturaki, Robert Aloro, Aidan Kateregga and Ssuubi Kiwanuka (Board Secretary) in the running of the club affairs.

About the appointees

Sebbaale also an avid golfer is CEO and Consultant Surgeon at Case Medical Centre. He comes with a wealth of sporting/management excellence, as a lifetime sportsman and currently keen swimmer and runner. He served as Cricket Captain for both Kings College Budo and Makerere University, and played for the Uganda National Cricket team. He was Chairman Uganda Cricket Association 2008 to 2012 and Director Development for Africa Region, International Cricket Council. He is the current Chairman Buganda General Sports Council. On the footballing side, he is a FIFA certified sports doctor and a long time Express FC supporter. He is married and a father of four.

Kyezira is the Executive Director and leading renewable energy consultant at Konserve Advisory Ltd, with 17 years working experience in the East African renewable energy sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics; a Galileo Master Certificate in Renewable Energy Technologies and multiple other certifications. He is an amateur footballer of note, a former hockey player, as well as a squash player. He is the current Vice Chairperson of the Uganda Squash Racquets Association. Mr. Kyezira is a lifetime Express fan and comes to the Advisory Council with a commitment to see Express FC excel.
