Notice from UNIDO

Within the framework of the Global Environmental Facility (GEF)'s Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) programme, the Government of Uganda (GoU) has requested UNIDO to implement a climate-resilient livelihood diversification project within its banana value chain development programme, as part of its aims to achieve some of the adaptation goals outlined in its National Adaptation Plan (NAPA). The project aims to support vulnerable communities in Western Uganda to better cope to the effects of Climate Change (CC) through banana value addition activities, to provide greater opportunities for income generation, poverty reduction and food security.

UNIDO hereby solicits Request for Offers from competent companies for the supply and installation of equipment for the following groups of beneficiaries who are expected to expand their capacities and improve the quality to enable the products meet the Uganda National Bureau of Standards quality requirements for food products (S and/or Q Mark):
