Kirinja Jinja SS's Madondo summoned for South Sudan game

The summoned squad is composed of U17, U20 and U23 players.

Joel Madondo is one of the new players named in the Uganda national U-23 soccer team (Kobs) for the South Sudan game on November 12.

Madondo recently scored a brace when his side Kirinya Jinja SS settled for 2-2 draw with SC Villa in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

13 countries have been handed byes into the second round of the AFCON U-23 qualifiers that has attracted 43 teams. The winner between Uganda and South Sudan after the two legged affair will meet Tunisia. Egypt will host the finals in 2019.

The summoned squad that is composed of U17, U20 and U23 players will kickoff  their preparations with two day non-residential training this Friday and Saturday.

But KCCA ‘s trio of Allan Okello, Julius Poloto and Mustafa Kizza who featured for U20 earlier this year were not summoned.

Mathias Lule will be in charge of the team under supervision from Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre.
