It is now clear defending champions South Africa will face Uganda in the World University Championship final.

The two giants will first complete a round robin with a match between themselves before the final.

The two nations have blown everything in their path before the final at Makerere University's new indoor arena.

England won the inaugural edition in in 2012 before Africa's top netball side South Africa winning the next edition in USA in 2016.

Senior She Cranes center Ruth Meeme say South Africa has a solid side. "They are very quick, accurate, intelligent, space out very well besides having a very good defence."

She, however, notes that they can be beaten by the hosts. "All Uganda needs is to play as a unit. They have to support the ball, avoid long passes and also mark tight."

Goal attacker Irene Eyaru and goal shooter have the task of converting all the chances that come their way.

Meanwhile, USA, who have exhibited remarkable improvement after every game, finally pulled off their first tournament win yesterday.

They beat Singapore 41-38 after four consecutive losses.

Away from their short comings on court, USA have had a huge impact elsewhere.

They have spirited backing of Mbuya slum youths from Mbuya in the stands. With a KFC pack and a Coke each the youths wildly cheered USA.

The American started off their trip to Uganda on Saturday with a friendly against the same youths in Mbuya.

"We want to reach out to the less privileged. It is important for my girls to realise that they have to give back to society," explained Ottaway.
