Maxime said the team’s performance impressed him.

Winning the FIM East and Central Africa Enduro Championship in Rwanda over the Weekend, has given national motocross team captain Maxime Van Pee confidence that he is improving after sustaining an injury last year in Botswana.

Maxime told New Vision that winning showed that he will be back on form.

"I won and this shows that I am getting back to my best and I will put up a better show in the FIM central Africa motocross championship in Nairobi Kenya," Maxime said.

Maxime led a team of nine riders including Ali Omar Yasser popularly known as Bobo, Gerald Kalanzi, Sharifah Kateete and Amina Zawedde.

Maxime said that the team's performance impressed him a lot and he is confident the riders will perform better in the other international events to come.

Tendo Mutale, the president Enduro Uganda said the performance of the team shows that they are fit and Uganda riders have improved.
