Four qualify for Nile special Pool finals

Four women on Saturday qualified for the finals of the Nile Special Pool Open due October 27, 2018 at Lugogo National Council of Sports complex.

Rashida Muteesi, Justine Nampebwa, Rehema Nakayiwa and Merab Nabwire qualified at the D'Arena Centre in Kampala where only sixteen ladies turned up for the first women qualifiers.

In the finals of the qualifiers, Rashida Muteesi of CKI beat Justine Nampebwa of Masaka Klien 5-0  to win a medal and sh100,000= cash prize, while Nampebwa received sh70,000= cash prize.

The four who qualified for the finals are joint top seeds Ritah Nimusiima, Victoria Namuyanja, Angela Busingye and Sharon Mirembe who got a bye to the finals.

"I didn't know I could win these qualifiers, but now I have to train harder because I need that top prize of Toyota Raum," Muteesi said.

The players are targeting upcountry centers where there is a weaker challenge such as Gulu, Fort portal, Mbarara, Arua and Mbale to qualify for the finals.

The winner of the women category will drive away a Toyota Raum, while the winner of them men's category will drive home a Toyota Alteza.
