Enduro team for Rwanda

The national motocross team captain Maxime Van pee will lead Team Uganda in the second round of the East and Central Africa Enduro motocross championship Saturday in Nyamata Rwanda.

“I am feeling good and excited to race in Rwanda. It is an opportunity I have been waiting for and I hope to return victorious,” Maxime said.

The former national Enduro champion lead a team of 10 riders who include Dr. Gerald Kalanzi, Sam Bamulesewa, Cymon Charnley, Ali Omar, Amina Zawedde, Moses Wakhasa, William Koerts, Isma Mukiibi and Sharifah Kateete to the regional championship.

According to Tendo Mutale, the Enduro Uganda president, Team Uganda is onfident of victory.

“We have decided to field young riders such as Ali Omar popularly known as bobo, Sharifah Kateete and Amina Zawedde to inspire the Rwandan arents to get their children into the sport,” Mutale said.

“We are also training our young riders on how to get into Enduro which is good for endurance and quick thinking of an athlete,” Mutale added.

The team left on Thursday night by road to Kigali Rwanda and will return on Monday.
