Uganda Tennis Association (UTA) spokesperson Osmond Atwiine has called upon coaches to play a major role if the junior tennis initiative is to succeed.

"Our primary role as UTA is the development of grassroot programmes. This programme is dependent on you all (JTI) coaches.  We already recognise what you have done and we intend to continue to find ways in which we can support you,"  Atwiine said.

UTA vice president Dean Kibirige, said, "We hope this will elevate the game of tennis to the next level. We only request that the equipment is used to elevate the game in Uganda."

Luigig Guissani, Nakasero Primary School, East Kololo Primary School, Shimoni Primary School plus Kampala club and Lugogo Tennis Club will also get a feel of this initiative.
