Nkumba ladies turns on the style to dominate volleyball

The Entebbe based side have won 13 of their 14 played games and ended their first round on top of the Serie A women’s table.

Nkumba University Volleyball Club (NVCU) ladies team have had a light moment in the first round of the National Volleyball League.

The Entebbe based side have won 13 of their 14 played games and ended their first round on top of the Serie A women's table.

Nkumba has surpassed topflight teams such as Vision Volleyball Club (VVC), Sport-s Volleyball Club and Ndejje University Volleyball Club for the past one year.

Nkumba won the 2017 league title and  Genocide Memorial tournament in Rwanda where they were making their second appearance. They have only lost four games this year in year. They lost to Ndejje, UCU, APR (Rw) and VVC in NSSF KAVC International (final), National League (round one), Genocide tournament (groups) and Aporu Memorial tourney (semifinal) respectively.

Despite losing to the above teams, they have also registered wins against the same teams confirming their goodness over them.

With the help of their key players, Flavia Nandawula, Astreede Agaba, Grace Akirol, Doreen Akiteng and Sidat Nungi, Nkumba's performance has been world class.
