Kibuuka urged the ordained individuals to exhibit a high level of integrity and be exemplary to the people they lead.

The Bishop of the Antiochian Eastern Orthodox Church Rev. Fr Jacinto Kibuuka has held his first ordination event since his consecration last year. At the highly attended event at Mamre International Prayer Centre in Kampala, three deacons and four priests were conferred.

The deacons include Moses Lyomoki, Vincent Semanda and Emanuel Kasule Musomesa whereas the priests ordained are Alex Muke Thembo, Alex Mwesigye Temple and John Kizito Mayanja.

Kibuuka urged the ordained individuals to exhibit a high level of integrity and be exemplary to the people they lead. He said during his two year reign, the Church had baptised over 3,000 people and opened up over 25 churches. He said the Church had also received 11 land titles.

Kibuuka also warned the ordained individuals against materialism, saying: "You cannot serve two masters at ago". He also asked the clergy not to indulge in stealing church land and that they must be role models to the clergy from other churches.

Some of the individuals ordained crossed from the Roman Catholic Church whereas others moved from the Anglican Orthodox church.

Fr Alex Temple Twesigye who crossed from Kabale Diocese said he was free to choose any church since there is freedom of expression in Uganda.
