Uganda win series 4-1

KAMPALA - Nigeria will carry positives from their 4-1 loss to hosts from their Tour to Uganda that ended on Wednesday at the Lugogo oval.

Realistically, it was a case of building momentum and exposure for the travelling Nigerians.

It was not so much about winning the sxerioes; Uganda cariies more weight than Nigeria on any day!

"There is a sense of satisfaction from our camp despite not winning the series. It was all about exposure and it is clear that the boys have improved on their game and that's what matters now" said Joseph Onoje, Nigeria's team manager.

Nonetheless, their 94 runs win in the fourth game was something to think about proudly as they stopped Uganda in their tracks, avoiding a whitewash of the series.

The Nigerians hope to be at their electric best when they focus their charges on the ICC Africa Division 2 U19 World Cup Qualifier 17-29 August in South Africa.

Meanwhile, Spinner Munir Ismael continues to impress in his ranks and picking a game best four wickets in the fifth game shows that the youngster's greater days lie ahead of him.

Ever green Frank Akankwasa did damage as well with two wickets as the travelling Nigerians were all out for 154.
