Topflight sides among recipients of FIFA Forward Program

Each regional football association shall receive financial support

 

The topflight sides will be some of the beneficiaries of the FUFA Members' Enhancement Project.

The project that is funded through the FIFA Forward Programme will also see different members with FUFA get financial support.

This was revealed during an emergency committee meeting that was held at FUFA headquarters in Mengo.

To start with, all those clubs that will be licenced for the 2018/19 season in the topflight will get sh5m each.

Each regional football association (RFA) shall receive financial support of sh25m this year.

RFAs that organise women regional football leagues (at least 5 teams) shall receive extra funding of sh5m assigned for women football costs.

Qualified district football associations with active members shall get sh500,000.

Special Interest Groups such as The Uganda Football Players' Association (UFPA), Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA), Uganda Women Football Association (UWFA), Uganda Football Coaches Association (UFCA), Uganda Football Referees Association (UFRA), Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) and Uganda Schools Football Association (USFA) will be eligible to sh10m each.
