Ugandan appointed CAF match commissioner

KAMPALA - Retired FIFA Referee, Yusuf Awuye was chosen as one of the four Ugandans in charge of handling the CAF match commissioning duties.

This was revealed by FUFA communications manager, Ahmed Hussein

"CAF maintained Uganda's four slots for the match commissioners. This followed the untimely passing on of Hajji Abbas Ssendyowa.

"We are lucky that Uganda's slot has been maintained and former FIFA Referee, Yusuf Awuye has been appointed as the replacement," stated Ahmed

Awuye joined Margret Kubingi, Aisha Nalule and Mike Letti, other Ugandans handling the CAF match commissioning responsibilities.

The match commissioners are also always appointed for CAF Interclub matches and CAF tournaments.

The four add to the already serving group of Ugandans at CAF. These include; FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo who is  on the CAF Executive Committee and also heads the Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee and he is also on the women football committee, FUFA Chief Executive Director (CEO), Edgar Watson is on  the CAF Technical Committee and Harunah Mawanda is on the CHAN Organising Committee.
