KABAKA'S 25TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY

The Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, has congratulated  Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II on his 25th coronation anniversary as King of Buganda.

Kabaka Mutebi was crowned Kabaka of Buganda at Naggalabi Buddo in Mpigi, currently Wakiso district on July 31, 1993.

"Your Majesty, the Kabaka, on behalf of my fellow bishops, the Catholics in Buganda and the entire Uganda, I send our warm greetings to you and congratulations for reaching 25 years on the throne and leading the Buganda Kingdom.

We thank God for giving you good health, strength and wisdom in your 25 years on the throne. We thank you for the development in Buganda such as education, health, environment, agriculture and culture.

We thank you for the good ideas you gave your people most especially as you advise as to work hard so that we fight poverty and also health.

His majesty "it gives us hope, especially in the challenges we encounter in your advice to the youth which has also given them hope and remained steadfast. We thank God for keeping you in peace and uniting people without segregation.

As you celebrate your silver jubilee, we bestow you unto the Lord to continue giving you strength and good health for the body and spirit, as it was in the generation of King Solomon and David to continue giving you wisdom (1 Kings 4:29) so that you continue leading Buganda in the right way, love and truth," the Archbishop said in a statement.
