BUL finished in sixth position in the 2017/18 season, their best finish in five years

In a bid to build a formidable squad capable of challenging for both the league and cup competitions, Jinja-based side BUL FC has released seven fringe players ahead of the 2018/19 season.

According to the team manager Daudi Were, Kenyan goalkeeper Geoffrey Etiaki, defenders Yusuf Mukisa and Titus Tibangana, strikers Patrick Asiku, Aziz Kemba and Shaka Ssozi as well as winger Mike Ndera, were all released from the club.

"We released seven players in a bid to get better ones who will match our ambitions to vie for a league title. It is unfortunate that we are at a time when head coach Kefa Kisala departed the team and that puts us in a dilemma to search for a more ambitious coach who can turn around this group of players," Were said.
