MUKONO - Nkumba University Volleyball Club (NUVC) ladies' National league unbeaten run dream was terminated in a tone that left the league champions in huge calculations as they lost to Uganda Christian University (UCU) on Wednesday in Mukono.

NUVC A ladies team had a dream of reaching the play off stages of the league minus a loss.

However, all dreams were shuttered when they gave out their fourth game of the league to UCU who have recently registered a good start in the league.

The champions were exposed to the hungry doves of Mukono who have swiped three consecutive wins in the league against, MUST, KAVC and Nemostars, for their first time in a period of two years, Nkumba lost to UCU.

However, the game stayed for four sets that had given the guests a comeback in the fourth set which was later killed by two poor serves from the 26 point giving UCU the last minute 28 point celebration.

In the men's category, UCU's Elias Isiagi, Jonathan Tumukunde and Johnson Rukundo led their side to edge an off-centre Nkumba as they thrashed them 3-0.

UCU team is a setup of relatively young talented players same as Nkumba but UCU's teamwork has given them morale to out beat stronger teams.
