He also claims that he has to be compensated the over sh150m he has so far invested

Sostin Atwine who was nominated with incumbent Ben Immanuel Misagga for the SC Villa presidency has said putting the elections on hold is a sign of weakness from the organisers of the polls.

Atwine's remarks come in the wake of Villa following a directive from FUFA who wrote to the club directing them to postpone the elections.

"I was amused after receiving a letter from SC Villa secretariat informing me how elections have been delayed up to December. If we don't have them by this weekend then I will go to court," stated Atwine.

He also claims that he has to be compensated the over sh150m he has so far invested ahead of the elections that had been scheduled for Saturday in Masaka.

The club's electoral committee had nominate Misagga and Atwine, while aspiring candidate Dennis Mbidde also decided to organise his own elections this week at Villa Park.

Other aspiring candidates such as Edgar Agaba, Muhammad Bazilengedde and former player Gibby Kalule had earlier shown interest in the post but did not go through the vetting process.
