Malinga, who turned pro last year after signing for Bulgaria’s side Marek Union Ivkovi has lived to his dream of playing at the Champions league after signing for Lukoil Burgas who are Bulgaria’s representatives at the Champions league and the biggest club in Bulgaria.
Uganda's young and promising player aged 22 had played with local clubs such as Sky and Nkumba University showcasing an outstanding performance both locally and internationally before heading for Bulgaria.
In a big interview with the New Vision in May, Malinga had talked about having his skills showcased at the Champions league as his dream.
Now Malinga could be living his dream surprisingly with in eight months at his new team, a top and best team in the local league gets interest in his skills.
His outstanding performance and technical qualities besides his natural physical abilities such as great jumps and speed in his former club Marek, Lukoil Burgas saw it important to recruit his skills.
A happy Malinga regarded his move to a dream come true after signing for Bulgaria’s top team and said that he will do his best to deliver the best for his new team.
“Although this was my dream which has come true, I now look forward to delivering my best for my new team, am so happy to have signed for the biggest Bulgarian club and hope to achieve more with them at the end of my first season,” Malinga said.
