Brian Umony launches foundation

The one day event will be held this Saturday at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo with a Cranes select vs Naguru Echo FC game.

Former Uganda Cranes players are expected to grace the Naguru Give Back' charity event organised by Brian Umony Foundation.

Geoffrey Massa, Andy Mwesigwa and  David Obua  are some of the players who have confirmed their participation . Other are; Denis Iguma, Tony Mawejje, Joseph Ochaya, Sadam Juma and Muhammad Shaban.

The one day event will be held this Saturday at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo with a Cranes select vs  Naguru Echo FC game.

"This is an idea I had two years ago. It has not been easy, but the commitment and also the help of different sponsors has enabled us to reach this far," Umony said during the launch of Naguru Give Back' event at Africel headquarters on Tuesday.

Edgar Karamagi, the Public Relations Officer Africel said, "With regard to the charity event, we are always looking out for causes that touch the community."

The proceeds from the Saturday event will be given to the Naguru remand home and Naguru Echo FC, a team in the fourth division in Nakawa.

Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) team will also face a Celebrity select side in the first football match of the charity event. Eddy Kenzo, Gravity Omutujju are some of the musicians who willgrace the event.

BetLion, Africel, KCCA FC, are some the sponsors of the event.
