Ambassador Patrick Mugoya, the permanent secretary in the foreign affairs ministry, said Wang Yang will join the President on Friday to commission the 48km Entebbe Expressway.

President Yoweri Museveni is set to hold a special meeting with visiting Chinese senior leader Wang Yang, the chairperson of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a political advisory body in China.

Wang Yang, is also expected to hold talks with other senior government officials including the Vice-President, Edward Sekandi,  the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga and the  Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda.

Addressing journalists on Tuesday, Ambassador Patrick Mugoya, the permanent secretary in the foreign affairs ministry, said Wang Yang will join the President on Friday to commission the 48km Entebbe Expressway.

“The Government will be hosting His Excellency Wang Yang, on the invitation of Museveni. He is the chairperson of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, so he will be accorded the same treatment to that of a seating head of state,”

Mugoya told journalists at the ministry offices on Wednesday.
