FUFA Women cup: UCU to meet Olila in the semifinals

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MUKONO - It will be a repeat of last season semifinal when the UCU Lady Cardinals takes on Olila Women in the first semifinal of this year's  FUFA Women Cup.

 

Ending last season's semifinals, Olila eliminated UCU 2-1 in penalties after drawing 2-2 draw.

 

The two rivals will meet again in this year's semifinal shceduled for June 13 at Uganda Christian University (UCU) main Campus in Mukono after being drawn in the last four  of the knock competition Wednesday, at FUFA house,Mengo.

 

UCU and Olila humbled Western United and Bugiri Town View 4-0 each in the previous round to make it to the semifinal.

 

In the second semifinal, Muteesa Royal will play She corporates on June 14 at Mutesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.

 

Muteesa eliminated Uganda Martyrs 1-0 in the previously round while She Corporates defeated giants Kawempe Muslim 5-4 in penalties after goalless draw.

 

The Women Cup is a knock out competition that is played by all the FUFA Women Elite League clubs plus other teams across the countries that are interested to take part.

 

This year's final will be  held  June 23 in Bushenyi District
