KCCA beat Synergy to reach Uganda Cup final

KCCA won on a 10-0 on aggregate to reach the final, having beaten Synergy 1-0 in the first leg on Monday at Masaka.

LUGOGO - KCCA FC brightened their chances of winning their tenth Uganda Cup trophy.
 
They thumped regional side, Synergy 9-0 in the return leg of the semifinal, Thursday evening at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
 
KCCA won 10-0 on aggregate to reach the final, having beaten Synergy 1-0 in the first leg on Monday at Masaka.
 
Patrick Kaddu scored a hattrick while Allan Okello and Steven Sserwadda each added a brace for KCCA.
 
Former Synergy player, Solomon Okwalinga and Jackson Nunda scored the other goals for KCCA.

"I want to thank my fellow players for pushing me towards my goal.
 
"Almost every Ugandan player has a part to play for KCCA since they encourage players to reach their ambitions," stated Kaddu.
 
KCCA will now face either Vipers or SC Villa in the final. The two sides face off in the return leg on June 5 at St Mary's Stadium, Kitende.
 
They settled for a goalless draw in the first leg that was marred by fan violence on Sunday at Wankulukuku.
 
This year's final will be hosted at Emokori ground in Bukedea district on June 9.
