Cranes star Umony to give back to the community

NAGURU - Uganda Cranes striker, Brian Umony has decided to give back to the people of Naguru through a charity event.
 
The event  will be held on June 30 at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.
 
"We have organised a game between the Cranes select versus Naguru echo FC with an aim to launch our activities which will involve supporting youth teams, juvenile detention faciilities, sanitation drives in communities, education awareness drives, baby shelters support among many,"Umony said.
 
The charity event will comprise of football matches between Cranes select versus Naguru Echo FC and Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) versus celebrity select side
 
The proceeds will go to the Naguru remand home and Naguru Echo FC, a team in the fourth division in Nakawa.
 
Former Uganda Cranes captains Geoffrey Massa and Andy Mwesigwa are some of the players who have confirmed their participation on that day in the Cranes select versus Naguru echo FC game.
 
Umony who bounced back from injury earlier this year, joined India Premier League outfit Gokulam Kerala Football on a one year deal in April.
