It will be a non-title fight
Kickboxer Moses Golola has finalised preliminary arrangements with fight promoter Malik Kaliisa, to face Thailand-based Ugandan fighter Umar Semata, in Kampala.
The highly anticipated fight is scheduled to take place on October 13, dubbed ‘Night of the Champion’.
“I have finished with the promoter. I am now heading for training that I want to last 6 months, so that I get drilled by all my trainers to overcome this fight that is the biggest in my life.
This is the fight of the century for Ugandans in the field of kickboxing, where the two world champions are going to meet,” noted Golola. He added that it will be a non-title fight and weight matching is irrelevant.
Golola, with the biggest fan base in kickboxing in the country, has beaten renowned local fighters like Ronald Mugula, Titus Tugume and recently, Abu Kikenwa, who was 13kg heavier in March.
