CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENT AND DISSEMINATION OF NATIONAL CIVIL REGISTRATION & VITAL STATISTICS (CRVS) POLICY AND STRATEGY

The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the implementation of the Uganda Reproductive Maternal and Child Health Services Improvement Project herein after referred to as the "Project". The objectives of the Project are to: (i) to improve utilization of essential health services with a focus on reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health services in target districts; and (ii) Scale up birth and death registration (BDR) services. The project is composed of the following components: I. Results-Based Financing for Primary Health Care Services; II. Strengthen Health Systems to Deliver RMNCAH Services; III. Strengthen Capacity to Scale-up Delivery of Births and Deaths Registration Services and IV. Enhancing Institutional Capacity to Manage Project Supported Activities. The Project is being implemented through the existing institutional arrangements of Government whereby the respective departments at Ministry of Health and NIRA will be responsible for implementation of the respective components.

Under component III, the Project is to hire a consultant for development and dissemination of National Civil Registration & Vital Statistics (CRVS) Policy and Strategy for National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA). NIRA was established by the Registration of Persons Act 2015 (ROPA) as a specialized Authority for the registration of persons, the registration of births and deaths and the issuance of the appropriate certificates. CLICK HERE FOR MOR ON THIS NOTICE
