There are no two ways about it. The She Cranes have to beat Wales massively today and Scotland on Wednesday if they hope to qualify for the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games netball competition here.

"We are in such a tight contest especially with Malawi and we cannot afford to put a foot wrong," warned She Cranes team manager Jocelyn Ucanda.

"Should we make that mistake then that will be the end of our dreams. The girls are very much aware of this. We have to win with a massive goal margin," she added.

Today's game is the fourth encounter for the She Cranes who have lost twice to New Zealand and England, who are second and third in the world respectively. They boast of one win against Malawi.

Uganda is currently caught in a three-way tie with Malawi and Scotland with each country on two points from three matches in Pool B which has six teams.

England are still enjoying leadership of the pool on eight points, two better than New Zealand. What puts Uganda above Malawi and Scotland is possession of a better scoring record but all that can change today depending on the result of the match against Wales.
