The two suspects identified as Musa Galiwango and Muhamed Kidawalime appeared before the out going Masaka Chief Magistrate, Samuel Munobe last months.

The duo jumped out of the court dock and raced past the Prison warders and police personnel at the court premises and fled.

One of the suspects Kidawalime jumped on to a  waiting bodaboda at the stage outside the court and took off, whereas Galiwango escaped past the same stage as boda-boda riders cheered him on.

Efforts by a combined security team led by the Police and the UPDF armored brigade to trace the escapees have not yielded anything despite a sh20m reward for any one with information regarding their whereabouts.

The Masaka deputy RDC, Joseph Ssekasamba confirmed the development saying the boda- boda stage at the Masaka High Court was removed for security reasons.

The Southern Regional Police Commander, Latiff Zaake said that the suspects took advantage of the lose security deployment at the court to escape via the office of the DPP in Masaka.

President Museveni recently tasked security operatives from Police and prisons to re-arrest the suspects without fail.
