The Red Eagles are currently third from bottom with 19 points in the league

In a bid to survive relegation, Express has today launched Save Express FC Mukwano Gwabanji campaign at Wankulukuku stadium.

The event that will be held on March 23 at the same venue  is intended to raise funds to ensure that players standards of living are improved as one of the ways to help the club get out of the relegation zone

"We want to collect funds that will enable us to peform well in these remaining games of the season so that we survive relegation," stated Express CEO Hamza Jjunju. Jjunju was flanked by musician Geoffrey Lutaaya, Abbas Byaruhanga  (Express fans coordinator ), Allan Ssewanyana (Makindye West MP) and Muhammad Kakooza (in charge of  fans security).

All this comes at time when Express risks getting relegated for the first time since the club was founded in 1957.

The Red Eagles who are currently third from bottom with 19 points in the league, need to win more than three of their last nine games if they to stand a chance of surviving relegation.
