CRIME

KAMPALA - Police have arrested a pastor for alleged forgery of documents with intent to inherit riches belonging to the late wife.

Pastor Samuel Bashan Zziwa, an associate pastor at Full Gospel Church in Makerere, is alleged to have forged letters of administration to acquire authority over the riches and properties left by his late wife Dr Agnes Namutebi, a former lecturer at Makerere University.

The forgery processes were masterminded with the help of his lawyer Moses Musoke, Pastor Bolton Alex Allan Opio of Kyanja Divine Evangelist Church and Jean Bakamweta, the LC1 chairperson Bombo Road Zone.

This comes as a result of Namutebi's family finding out from at Makindye Court that Zziwa had tendered his request to be granted sole powers of administration over the deceased's property.

The documents included forged signatures of Namutebi's family members unanimously granting the pastor access to properties.

Zziwa's lawyer Musoke, in a bid to claim all the National Social Security Fund benefits, wrote a letter introducing Pastor Zziwa as the true beneficiary of the late's properties.
