Uganda v Barbados
The She Cranes are heading into their first international friendly encounter against the Bajan Gems of Barbados with an aim of securing victory in Bridgetown.
But even after enduring over a 25 hours flight, the national team captain Lillian Ajio still has hope that her side that recently won the Africa Netball Championship title in Kampala has all it takes to claim victory amidst an anticipated hug crowd.
"We expect to play amidst a big crowd supporting the host side, but am counting on my senior players to spearhead the victory," Ajio said.
She added that among the players that she is relying on is Ruth Meeme, Halima Nakachwa, Jesca Achan, Rachael Nanyonga and Florence Nanyonga who were on the team that represented Uganda at the 2015 Netball World Cup.

However, it will need an extra effort by the team of jet-lagged players who who have traveled for two days from Kampala to Bridgetown to beat a well prepared host team.
The She Cranes were expected in Barbados on Wednesday, but failed to catch-up with the American Airlines flight from Miami to Bridgetown following delays by Qatar airways that ferried the team from Doha.
To try and make up for the eras, Qatar airways accommodated the team at Miami International Airport Hotel to enable the players catch the Thursday morning flight to Barbados.
The national team that arrived in Bridgetown on Thursday is also scheduled to play two other matches with Barbados tomorrow and on Sunday as part of the buildups to the Commonwealth Games slated for next month in Australia.
The She Cranes team has the likes of Betty Kizza, Desire Obua, Irene Akello, Hadijah Nakabuye, Joan Nampungu, Stella Nanfuka, Stella Oyella, Zamu Seera and Muhayimuna Namuwaya.
