He wants me to reject support from baby daddy

Mar 05, 2018

My boyfriend has said he does not want me to get any help from my baby daddy, claiming that this brings us close and may result in having another child.

I am a single mother of one. I live with my son as his father supports his welfare and schooling, including paying house rent. Not long ago, I got a boyfriend and we have so far been together for eight months.

However, recently, this boyfriend has said he does not want me to get any help from my baby daddy, claiming that this brings us close and may result in having another child. He has gone to the extent of threatening to quit the relationship if I do not cease to get support from my son's father.

On the other hand, I am a low-income earner and so is my boyfriend. Rejecting support from my son's father would mean that my child's welfare will be compromised. Much as I want to settle down, I also want my child to have the best and bond with his father. Please advise.
