DRY SEASON, ENVIRONMENT

Farmers in Kalungu district are in tears after a long spell of the dry season that has seen their crops dry.

According to one of the farmers, Betty Nnakaweesi, they have received very little rain since July last year.

There is no water for livestock and the grass has dried up

However, while some farmers are praying for rain, some farmers have devised means of irrigating their crops.

Farmers fetch water from nearby streams using trucks.

 
The farmers requested for training and sensitization so that they get knowledge of how to deal with such situations.
