Lweza parish priest Mugabo dies

ENTEBBE - Lweza parish priest Fr John Mary Vianney Mugabo has died. Mugabo, 52, passed on Monday at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.

According to information from the Archdiocese, Fr Mugabo will buried at St Joseph's Catholic Parish Lweza on Wednesday. Mugabo served at St Joseph's Catholic Parish at Lweza Wakiso district as Parish Priest for 10 years. He was also the dean of Entebbe vicariate.

Asked why Fr. Mugabo will laid to rest at Lweza Parish and not Lubaga, the Kampala Archdiocese administration said it is the archdiocese's policy for a priest to be buried where he breathed his last. However, exceptions are made when a priest states in his will where else he wants to be buried.
