Asuman Lubowa quits as FUFA technical director

Lubowa took over the position of the technical director in acting capacity in 2009

Asuman Lubowa has retired as FUFA technical director. He has been replaced by Ali Mwebe who will be assisted by Bashir Mutyaba.

Aisha Nalule takes over the role of FUFA competitions director that was previously occupied by Mwebe.

"Mr Asuman Lubowa tendered in his retirement letter to the federation technical director. The FUFA executive convened a meeting on February 8, and accepted his decision," FUFA CEO Edgar Watson said.

"We wish him the best and thank him for the great service of over 9 years. Therefore, Mr Ali Mwebe is the new football development director at FUFA. He will be assisted by Bashir Mutyaba, who is also the FUFA youth development officer. Miss Aisha Nalule, who has been acting as the FUFA competitions directors is therefore confirmed as the full FUFA competitions director."

Lubowa took over the position of the technical director in acting capacity in 2009 before being confirmed permanently after FIFA development officer Ashford Mamelodi had warned that Uganda would not get financial sssistance without a technical director.

Lubowa replaced Edgar Watson who had appointed chief executive officer.
