SC Villa lived up to expectations when they progressed to the round of 32 of the Uganda Cup.

The Jogoos beat Hope Doves 2-0 over the weekend at Masaka Recreation Ground to qualify for the next round of the knockout competition.

Ambrose Kirya and George Ssenkaaba each had a goal for coach Wasswa Bbosa's side.

Elsewhere, Lungujja Galaxy beat topflight side Mbarara City 3-2 on penalties after two all draw.

This year's Uganda Cup final will be held in June in Kumi district. Winners of the Uganda Cup represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
