WAKISO - Leaders and all Ugandans have been asked to look beyond their comfort zones to avoid regrets in future.

The head of Central Uganda Field in the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church, Bishop Samuel Kajjoba, said many Ugandans seem to be comfortable in positions they hold, which is dangerous.

“You must look beyond where you are and get to know what is outside your comfort zone. Many people are blindfolded by the devil and assume they are in the best position,” he said.

Kajjoba made the remarks while speaking at the annual SDA corporate prayer at Namboole Stadium in Kireka, Wakiso district on Sunday.

“Satan blindfolds people and they see things in a single direction. That is why people never realise their mistakes in life and they always do everything without shame,” he noted.

Kajjoba said it is also unfortunate that many do wrong yet they claim to be Christians.

“Let us be the light in the darkness for the people to see the truth. How do you expect to change people when you act contrary to what you preach?” he asked.

Kajjoba urged Christians to respect the act of baptism when they accept to follow God.

“The act of immersing people in water is a sign of dressing a new body from the old one. That means you are born a new creature and expected to leave your old deeds with the old body,” he added.

During the event, 1,072 people from various denominations converted to SDA church and were baptised.
