Nsenga wins Kabale White Horse golf tourney

Playing off handicap 12, Nsenga returned 62 net to beat a field of over 100 players in Kabale municipality to claim her third career top prize at the par-72 course

Mackline Nsenga pulled off a rare move to emerge overall winner at the annual Kabale White Horse open played at Kabale Golf Course on Saturday.

Nsenga who entered the tournament as a favourite on the green, took the cup in the professional leg of the competition. From the start she led the elite group of professional golfers in the tournament,

Playing off handicap 12, Nsenga returned 62 net to beat a field of over 100 players in Kabale municipality to claim her third career top prize at the par-72 course.

 

"I feel so happy I have not played in Kabale and most of the people I have been playing with are seniors who have played golf for so long if I continue like this the sky is the limit," Nsenga said shortly after being declared the winner.

"The course in Kabale was dry compared to Tooro golf course were I play from, but I was determined because I come in as a champion after winning the Mbarara Open less than two weeks back, "added Nsenga.

Nsenga edged out senior golfers who included Safari Zawadi, Sheila Kansiime, Lydia Mutesi, Gloria Mbaguta and Edrea Kagamba.
