Bafumbira set for annual re-union

All is set for the annual re-union for the Bafumbira World, an association that brings out all the Kampala-based Kisoro people.

The re-union this year is slated for December 27 at Tourist Hotel in Kisoro district.

According to the association president, Edgar Niyimpa Mfite, a number of activities such as showcasing the local culture and traditional dances are expected to take place. He said there will also networking and dinning.

"At the same event, we shall sign a memorandum of understanding with Mutolere Hospital which will be implementing the elderly scheme that was launched last year," he stated, adding that selection of beneficiaries is almost complete.

Mfite told New Vision that several individuals have come on board to support the organisation's initiatives and called more people to support them.

He cited the main objective of the association such as uprooting the social and health problems facing communities particularly in Kisoro district.
