Gulu DPC shot, in critical condition

Gulu District Police Commander, Joseph Ayiki.

Gulu District Police Commander, Joseph Ayiki, has been shot by unknown people.

Ayiki is said to have been shot at around 2:00am behind TAKS centre in Laroo division, Gulu Municipality.

He is unconscious and admitted at Gulu regional referral hospital but plans are underway to transfer him to St. Mary's Lacor Hospital for further management.

Details of his level of injury still remain scanty but New Vision observed an injury on his knee where he seemingly to have been shot.

It's alleged that he was shot by the security guard guarding the premise of TAKS centre.
