French cycling coach Jean Luc Anthony has assured members of Uganda Cycling Association (UCA) of aid and publicity to the outside world so that the game can prosper.

Anthony was making a courtesy call to Uganda to meet the UCA president Mathias Lukwago and also visited the NCS and UOC offices.

"We have been to Rwanda to organize Tour de Rwanda that has become central focus in the continent but we were surprised Uganda did not send a team. We had contact with some of the cyclists and we came to see the association's stand," noted Anthony.

He made the journey with Sylivain Clavel, one of the cyclists who competed in Tour de Rwanda.

NCS assistant secretary in charge of administration, David Katende hailed the French team for its concern for Uganda.

"Sports develops a lot through partnership. We are happy you are here," Katende noted.
