Muhammad Shaban continued to prove his sparkling start to his KCCA career as he guided the defending champions to a 3-1 victory over Vipers in the Uganda Premier League today afternoon at StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.

Shaban who scored a brace to take his tally to six goals in three games in a man of the match performance for two games running. This was his second award after he previously won the same last weekend when he scored a hat-trick against Soana.

Derrick Nsibambi scored the other for KCCA while Yayo Lutimba netted Vipers' consolation through a penalty after Timothy Awanyi brought down Tadeo Lwanga in the penalty area.

The former Onduparaka skipper is now joint second top scorer with Bright Stars' Nelson Senkatuka on six, one behind Hood Kaweesa on 7.

Kaweesa himself made in seven scoring the lone goal as Police beat beleaguered Express 1-0 at Wankulukuku Stadium to remain top of the league.

Police has 23 points, one ahead of KCCA and SC Villa who have a game in hand.

In Masaka, George Senkaaba was target as SC Villa defeated Onduparaka 1-0.

URA returned to winning ways as they defeated Soana 1-0 at Namboole. Labama Bokota scored the winner for the Tax Collectors.
