Uganda Premier League: KCCA v Police

KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi has told his players to dig deep if they are to overcome table toppers Police FC when the two sides faceoff today in the Uganda Premier League.

"We are playing against a very good side; they are not table leaders by mistake. They have worked their way there, but we need to be ready for the challenge at hand," stated Mutebi.

"We are working on lifting the confidence of the players. It is games like these that they need to step up and show character and you will see that in them tomorrow" Mutebi said on Tuesday.

Police currently lead the league with 16 points, four ahead of fifth placed KCCA.

Samuel Ssekamatte, Abdullah Muhammad, Paul Musamali and Jackson Nunda won't feature for KCCA due to injury.

Police who are coached by former KCCA player Abdullah Mubiru will return to action following a 2-2 draw with Maroons in their last game while KCCA thrashed bottom side Masavu 6-0.

"We need be cautious since we are playing the champions. The good thing is we don't have any injured players," said Mubiru.
