Siraje Nsubuga was the unlikely hero as KICC ended Charity's unbeaten run in Group B of the National T20 Cup on Sunday at Kyambogo.

The national U19 youngster had a decent innings reaching a match high 46 from 57 balls not out, as KICC set 125 in 20 overs on a day his teammate and veteran Frank Nsubuga proved he still has something to offer, scoring 40 from 32 balls.

Another youngster in Steven Wabwose, caught the eye in the chase, scoring 30 from 40 balls.

Fellow youngster Ronald Opio hit 25 off 28 balls in spite of Charity sliding to 107 from 20 overs. KICC are still second on 12 points behind leaders Charity on 20 points in Group B

Simon Ssesazi however ensured they collected maximum points in their other game against lacklustre Nile.

The batsman reached an undefeated 72 from 34 balls not out to inspire Charity to a 58 run win.

In Group A action, leaders and defending champions Challengers got the better of their junior side Strikers at Entebbe with Hamu Kayondo and Daniel Ruyange scoring 30 from 15 balls and 37 from 24 balls respectively to win by 18 runs.

Challengers are seeking to become the first side to defend the T20 league crown.
