AGE LIMIT | POLICE

Police has refuted reports that they support the amendments to the Constitution to have the presidential age limit of 75 years lifted.

Last week, the Uganda Human Rights Commission castigated the force, accusing them of  siding with those holding consultative meetings in support of the amendment.

But Police spokesperson Asan Kasingye said most of the rallies being held by Opposition MPs were only interrupted because they (Opposition) had breached the public Order Management Act.
