Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has extended the party's presidential debate for members vying for the top party office.

Five candidates, including the incumbent Gen. Mugisha Muntu, are contesting for the party's presidency in the elections that will be held this month at the national delegates conference.

FDC's electoral chief Dan Mugarura says the debate was disrupted by the current political situation.

He said they have been engaging in political activism and have now extended the debate to the 12th of this month.

Mugarura expressed ignorance of the withdrawal of one of the candidates, Mubarak Munyagwa, to back Patrick Amuriat Obboi.
