Despite it being too early to think about relegation, Maroons' 1-0 win over Proline the club its first home win of the season and also raised the prospect of beating the drop now that they have 12 points from 8 games.

This is what was on coach Asaph Mwebaze's mind after Sydney Achika's strike before halftime sunk Proline.

"It is good we have won. We had a bad record but winning in front of our fans builds the team and I hope we continue with such wins," Mwebaze stated.

Proline counterpart Mujib Kasule was left ruing the loss which he blamed on the playing surface.

"We need to improve our away games. We are struggling playing on the bad pitches away but this is something we have to work on" Kasule said.

The game that had a good number of fans turn up to support their side saw Proline dominate play but could not execute their moves as Maroons' defence held Proline at bay.

In the second half Proline pitched camp in Maroons' half but the homeside was resolute to see off the sustained spell of pressure.
