Col Dr. Kizza Besigye and five other Forum for Democratic Change officials were this morning charged before the Rukungiri Chief Magistrates Court with inciting violence.

The court case follows last week's chaotic age limit rally in Rukungiri town, which left one person dead and several others injured.

Officials charged together with Besigye are Ingrid Turinawe, party Presidential Candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat, Rukungiri Councillor Innocent Tashobya, Moses Byamukama and Fred Asiimwe.

They were charged with four counts of incitement of violence and one count of disobedience of statutory duty by holding an unauthorised in Rukungiri town last week.

All suspects denied all charges before Chief Magistrate Julius Barore.

They were later granted a non cash bail of sh5m each. The case has been adjourned  to November 16.
