Power lost 75-71 to unfancied Sharing Youth

National Basketball League (YMCA)

Men: UCU v Power (8pm)

Women: UCU v KIU (6pm)

After a comprehensive beating of KIU Titans on Friday, the rather wobbly UCU Canons return to action tonight against Betway Power at YMCA.

With the playoffs on the horizon, the Canons will be looking to strengthen themselves and make it all the way to the finals.

"Despite a slow start to the season, we still have a target of reaching the playoffs. But first, we need to win tonight's game," said Canon's captain Jonathan Egau.

Canons take on a wounded Power side who lost 75-71 to unfancied Sharing Youth on Sunday evening.

The Mukono based team will depend on the likes of Egau, Joas Maheta, Brian Namake, Steven Wundi and Fadhili Chuma while Power will look up to Michael Makiadi, Willy Nijimbere, Isaac Afidra and Suleiman Bbaale.

In the ladies' category, the UCU Lady Canons will face off KIU Rangers in the day's opener.
